De Ateliers congratulates former participant Ricardo van Eyk, winner of the Royal Prize for Painting 2023. The prize was awarded on October 5th, 2023, by King Willem-Alexander in the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. The prize sum of 9.000 euro per winner went to three winners, Ricardo van Eyk, Bobbi Essers en Thierry Oussou. Amongst the fifteen nominees are upcoming participant Lorian Gwynn en Ateliers alumni Minne Kersten, Lieve Hakkers and Wouter Paijmans. An exhibition of works by winners and nominees is on view in the Royal Palace until November 5th, 2023.
