De Ateliers congratulates former participant Karimah Ashadu, winner of the Ars Viva Prize 2020. This prestigious prize from the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft is awarded to young and promising artists living and working in Germany, with a distinct visual language and an awareness of acute contemporary issues. Other winners are Thibaut Henz and Cemile Sahin. Films and photo’s of Karimah Ashadu were shown at De Ateliers during Amsterdam Art Weekend in November 2019.
