Rotterdam based artist Q.S. Serafijn, participant at De Ateliers from 1983 to 1986, passed away recently. He is known for his interactive sculptures in public space, such as the D-Tower in Doetinchem and dog Mannes in front of the Assen railway station. He was teaching at the Jan van Eyck Academy and the Willem de Kooning Academie. Since 2007, he was lecturing at the parttime studies DOGtime of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy (Amsterdam).
