Fabulous Facts, True Fictions, Amsterdam Art Week 2022

For Amsterdam Art Week 2022, De Ateliers presents five video works by former participants that render the world as we know it in a world as we have never seen before. In these wonderful cinematographic narrations, each one presented in a room of its own, facts appear fabulous, and fiction seems to tell the truth. Based on a variety of filmic genres, from animation to sci-fi, all works in the exhibition speculate on alternative scenarios. What if the ongoing migration from South to North is reversed? What if solar energy means the beginning of the end? What if despised politicians resurrect from their graves? What if a big black bird takes possession of your home?
