Lydia Ourahmane (b.1992, Saida, Algeria), lives in Barcelona and Algiers

A graduate from London’s Goldsmiths College of Art, Lydia Ourahmane’s art encompasses video, sound, performance, sculpture, and installation. Recurring themes are histories of displacement, transcience and colonialism. Ourahmane’s work has recently been shown at De Appel (Amsterdam, 2021), Kunsthalle Basel (2021), Triangle Astérides (Marseille, 2021), Wattis Institute of Contemporary Art (San Francisco, 2020), Louisiana Museum (Copenhagen, 2019), Jameel Art Center (Dubai, 2019), Manifesta 12 (Palermo, 2018), Kunstverein München (2018), New Museum Triennial (New York, 2018) and Chisenhale Gallery (Londen, 2018).
