Artist Talk Abbas Zahedi
Abbas Zahedi (b. 1984, London, UK), studied medicine at University College London, before undertaking his MA at Central Saint Martins in 2017.
Zahedi’s practice weaves together thought, sound, and form to trigger new ways of perceiving local environments, and engaging with broader ecological systems. Zahedi’s installations often function as resonant spaces, where sound and rhythm become critical elements, evoking the interconnectedness of natural processes, cultural flows, and social dynamics. Forgoing rigid formal boundaries, his work and performances transform into a living dialogue—an evolving, sensory experience that merges the auditory with the visual, fostering space for shared reflection and exchange.
